Bi-plate with DTM (Dermatophytes medium) on one side and FSMTM (Fast sporulation medium)
on the other.
DermacilTM is a diagnostic medium for the detection and cultivation of dermatophytic fungi (Microsporum, Epidermophyton Trichophyton) commonly seen
on the superficial areas of the body, namely the skin, hair and nails. DermacilTM is ready-for-use culture medium for the isolation, identification, and speciation
of dermatophytic specimens in a human or veterinary clinical environment. Specimens that contains dermatophytic fungus should turn the DTM media color to red,
while the FSM media side should induce fast spore formation. In addition, FSM is useful for observing the true pigment of the colony by the aid of color change to blue-green. |
